Bettermove are a cash buying company based in Leeds, which prides itself on its ' proactive ' approach to selling. Founded on 18 Feb 2019 (and part of Blootek Ventures Limited), Bettermove aims to buy your property in a timescale that suits you, regardless of condition or location.
As a cash buyer, Bettermove takes a slightly different approach to buying than its competitors. They offer either an immediate quick house sale where they purchase your property for cash, or if you can afford to wait they can send your property out to their database of Bettermove investors.
Bettermove has an average sale time of 30 days and has a 24-hour support team. They are also members of The Property Ombudsman as well as the National Association of Property Buyers (NAPB).
They do not make it clear from their website exactly how much below market value they will offer you, however, it is free to make an enquiry.
Bettermove claims to be able to offer a lot of the services that you would typically expect a cash buyer to provide. This means if you have been involved with a housing chain that has collapsed are currently going through a divorce, are facing repossession, have a problem property or are moving abroad and need a quick sale, they will be able to purchase your property.
Bettermove operates in a similar way to other cash buyers if you go through their cash buying service. Below is their six-step process to sell:
Bettermove are based in Leeds and can be found at the following address:
20-22 Bridge End,
As we have mentioned, Better move claims to be able to purchase your home without any additional fees or hidden costs. Bettermove fees claim to cover both your legal fees and seller fees to help alleviate the stress of house selling.
When it comes to Bettermove reviews, it is always wise to look at and take in your reviews from a wide range of sources in order to ensure that you are getting a fair picture of the company. In the case of Bettermove, there are only two sources available for reviews, which are TrustPilot and Reviews.io.
Bettermove Trustpilot has an overall rating of 4.6, with an overall rating of excellent and 948 reviews. Out of these reviews, 86% are 4 star or above and the other 14% are 3 star and below. 1 star reviews make up 13% of their reviews and all tell a fairly similar story, of being unable to sell their property and having to lower the price and try and sell on the open market. However, their 5 star reviews all praise the customer service and process.
Bettermove estate agent reviews on Reviews.io has fewer reviews with only 61. They have an impressive rating of 4.9 with only 1 one-star review, however, there has not been a review left for the company in over a year. In the age of misinformation, we cannot always trust what we read online, so it is always best to air on the side of caution. On TrustPilot's website, they warn against false reviews, saying: "Use reviews with other sources and never replace common sense. If a company's reviews are all five stars, with absolutely no negatives, question whether they can get it right every single time." This is not to say that the reviews that have been left for Bettermove on Reviews.io are fake, however, with considerably more negative ones on their Trustpilot, it is odd that there is only 1 on their Reviews.io page.
Better move do not appear to have a Google review account.
Data correct as of November 2023.
