Quick Move Now is a long-running cash house buying company that was founded in 1998 by Hywel Luke and is still family run by his sons. Based in Swindon, the company is one of the longest running in the industry, with more than 25 years’ experience.
On its website, the company claims to have bought over 6,500 properties across England and Wales. It provides some typical strengths of a cash buyer, including being able to purchase property in any condition, covering legal fees (sometimes), and completing sales quickly with readily available cash funds. They typically offer between 70% and 82.5% of market value.
Quick Move Now is also a member of the National Association of Property Buyers (NAPB) and The Property Ombudsman (TPO). They’re registered with the ICO.

Quick Move Now offers the typical service you would expect of a professional cash buying company. They prioritise fast, simple sales with an emphasis on homeowners who need to sell quickly for various reasons, including financial difficulties, downsizing, divorce and relocation.
They state on their website that they provide an independent valuation of your property, which sometimes involves an in-person visit. They also manage the entire sale, including any legalities. If you choose one of their recommended solicitors, they will also cover the legal fees. However, it seems like if you want to use your own lawyer, you’ll need to pay.
Quick Move Now claims to be able to purchase your property in seven days. Other sources, such as Property Sale Watchdog, claim their average sale time is actually 21 days.
According to their How It Works page, Quick Move Now has a straightforward cash buying process encompassing four steps. Here’s a screenshot of that process taken from the company website:
To get in touch with Quick Move Now, you either need to call them or submit your details on their website for a call back. According to Jerome Bonner, a Client Account Manager for Quick Move Now, you won’t get a cash offer straight away. After you answer some questions, the rep will go away and do more research before calling you back with “an indication of an offer”.
This terminology is very interesting. It basically gives Quick Move Now more freedom to change their initial cash offer later by calling it “an indication”. The formal offer comes later, after they get an independent estate agent to visit your home and value it. They may lower the first offer after this visit or after the surveyor has assessed your property.
If you accept the final offer, Quick Move Now says it will handle the sale process, including the conveyancing. It’s worth noting that they only cover the legal fees if you use their recommended solicitor. They appear to only have one recommended solicitor listed on their site, so if you don’t want to use him, you’ll have to cover the costs yourself.
Let’s take a closer look at Quick Move Now on Trustpilot and Google reviews.
Here’s Quick Move Now’s overall situation on Trustpilot as of 10 September 2025:
Despite claiming to have sold over 6,500 properties across England and Wales, Quick Move Now only has 115 reviews on Trustpilot. Its overall rating of 3.8/5 is considered ‘Great’ and comprises mostly 5-star reviews. However, the next highest number of reviews are 1-star ratings, which raises questions about the company’s overall customer service and satisfaction.
Out of its 115 reviews, Quick Move Now has responded to 62, which is a decent response rate of 54%. This is significantly better than the 10% response rate that RaveCapture considers as High. The company has also responded to all but one of its 1-star reviews, so it looks to be communicating well with its less satisfied customers.
However, poor reviews by displeased customers highlight concerning business practices, including:
Being dismissive to homeowners over the phone (read full review)
Giving houses lower market values and removing 1-star reviews (read full review)
Leaving clients waiting for weeks (read full review)
Lowering their cash offer at the last minute (read full review)
Here are some recent Trustpilot reviews for better context into the good and bad experiences people have had with Quick Move Now:
"I needed to sell my second home quickly due to a change in personal circumstances - Quick Move Now bought it in 3 weeks and with the minimum of stress. Rhys was extremely helpful, as was Ricky at Quick Move Now’s recommended solicitors. If you are able to take a bit of a financial hit in exchange for a quick and easy sale, I would thoroughly recommend using Quick Move Now."
Date of experience: April 10, 2025
"I knew they would be under 20% market value and had expected a much lower offer, but even though local agents and the agent Quick Move Now instructed valued the property at £215, an offer of £135 is quite an insult and zero explanation as to why Quick Move Now valued it so much lower. Just time wasters sadly"
Date of experience: July 11, 2025
Here’s Quick Move Now’s overall situation on Google as of 10 September 2025:
What’s most startling about this is the company’s 4.2-star rating on Google is 0.3 stars lower than what it advertises on its website. This could be intentionally misleading or a simple housekeeping error that needs to be fixed. Either way, this discrepancy raises a few questions about Quick Move Now’s authenticity online.
Once again, the low number of reviews doesn’t match the 6,500+ properties the company has bought since it was founded. We’re seeing a lot of the same positive and negative sentiments as Trustpilot on Google. Some people have really valued the service provided by Quick Move Now, while others consider them dismissive or unreliable, pulling out of sales last minute.
Here are some recent Google reviews for better context into the good and bad experiences people have had with Quick Move Now:
"Quick, simple and painless from start to finish. One phone call with Jerome, easy questions, a call back with initial offer in 15 minutes, follow up next day with formal written offer from Rhys. I gave it some consideration and accepted a few days later. I would recommend to anyone wanting a quick and simple process."
Date of experience: April, 2025
"Appalling telephone manner and approach. Ask stupid questions that you've already answered on previous enquiry forms. Tone of agents is fast and aggressive. I would not recommend after my brief dealings with this company."
Date of experience: March, 2025

Based on the table below, Quick Move Now has a pretty competitive offering compared to other well-regarded cash buyers in the industry. They’re right amongst the fastest cash buyers and are one of the most experienced. They also match other companies across other important attributes, such as possessing cash funds and memberships.
Their biggest question mark is that they charge you if you want to use your own lawyer. Using a cash buyer’s lawyer can create a conflict of interest, so it’s one to consider. Quick Move Now also has a lower offer percentage of market value than other cash buyers. Though it is possible to get above 80% depending on your situation, you have to be prepared to get as low as 70% if you choose them.

It’s a similar story when we compare Quick Move Now’s service to The Property Buying Company. While we provide similar benefits across a range of attributes, we tend to offer more cash for property (75-85%) than QMN. We also cover all fees associated with the sale, including the legal fees even if you choose your own solicitor.
Our sale process can be slightly more streamlined than Quick Move Now’s offering. It’s essentially three steps instead of four, which you can read about online. As a result, we’ve been known to regularly buy houses within seven days and sometimes as fast as 48 hours.
Company | Experience (years) | Fees | Speed (days) | Offer % of MV | TPO & NAPB Member | Cash Funds | Houses in any State |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Quick Move Now | 25+ | Legal fees sometimes | 7-21 | 70-82.5 | Yes | Yes | Yes |
The Property Buying Company | 20+ | Zero | 7-21 | 75-85 | Yes | Yes | Yes |

When it comes to online reviews and general public sentiment, The Property Buying Company also performs better than Quick Move Now. We have thousands more Trustpilot reviews, which have given us an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5. That’s almost an entire star higher than QMN. We also have almost 10% more 5-star reviews and a lot less 1-star reviews.
This typically indicates better customer service and satisfaction across the board. However, we recommend you read individual reviews for both companies and not just take the overall ratings at face value. It can help to get a better idea of a company’s performance and how they deal with people on an individual basis.
Company | Overall Rating | # of Reviews | 5-Star Reviews | 1-Star Reviews |
---|---|---|---|---|
Quick Move Now | 3.8/5 | 115 | 73% | 15% |
The Property Buying Company | 4.6/5 | 2,509 | 82% | 5% |

We’ve shown you some examples of recent reviews for Quick Move Now, so it’s only fair we show you the same for TPBC.
I was looking to sell 3 properties at the same time and most of the companies I contacted were lacking in people and communication skills. I then came across The Property Buying company. Although I did not receive what I expected for the sale, this company was so much easier to communicate with, especially Charlotte Melia, who was my contact for the initial discussions on the sale of my flats. Charlotte was always at hand to guide and advise from a neutral stance at all times.

Initially great..phone call within 2 hours of my enquiry…told I would get a valuation the next day…2 days later still nothing…won’t be using this seemingly inefficient service…
Date of experience: April 2nd, 2025
My property was valued at a very good price. This company was very thorough, very helpful and very much in time with their schedules. Nothing was too much trouble. It just so happened that most of the way through organising the sale a relative of mine gave me an offer for the property. He too was a cash buyer, so being family I sold it to him. When I informed The Property Buying Company, they were genuinely pleased for me.
