An exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a property business based in the Wetherby area.

The successful individual will benefit from a competitive salary of up to £45,000, 25 days holiday and the potential to work on a hybrid basis after the first three months.

What will you being doing?

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, key responsibilities for the Management Accountant will include:

  • Month-end duties including intercompany recharges, fixed assets, journals, accruals and prepayments and Balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assisting with the preparation of the management accounts and the quarterly forecast/annual budget processes

  • Cash management including, bank payments, postings, reconciliation and cash flow forecasting

  • Ensuring that all financial controls are in place and making sure all accounts are audit proof

  • Business partnering with the wider finance team and liasing with non-finance individuals

  • Carrying out variance analysis and completing various month end reports

  • Importing invoices and raising ad hoc manual invoices on request (low volume)

  • Any other ad hoc tasks/projects as required by the Management team

Role requirements

This role requires someone who has strong analytical skills, a good understanding of the management accounts process and excellent Excel skills with the ability to ideally create Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and SUMIFS.

Experience automating and streamlining finance processes also desirable. The role will be a varied position combining the month end process with business partnering so excellent communication skills are essential.

To be successful in this Management Accountant role you will:

  • Be a part- or recently qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) OR be QBE with relevant management accounts experience.

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Have excellent Excel skills and will be confident picking up new software and systems.
