  • Property Consultant

Grant Bishop is one of our newer members in the Property Consultant team, and he's fairly new to the property industry but is eager to learn & with being around a team of property experts, it shouldn't take long!

Outside of work he is a big Formula 1 fan, particularly of George Russell - his hot tip to make it up to being a champion one day! When he isn't watching F1, you can catch him watching films or walking his rather energetic Golden Retriever. He's a very relaxed guy and just likes spending time with family and friends, his idea of the perfect holiday would be a short little break with his wife.

What experience do you have in property?

I'm actually new to the property industry, so at the moment very little! That being said, I'm surrounded by experts here with years and years of experience, so I'm confident it won't take me long to get up to speed and I'll be able to offer you property advice & help you with your sale in no time at all.

What’s your role at The Property Buying Company?

My role at The Property Buying Company is buying properties, and ultimately helping people sell their homes quickly that may have recently been involved in a chain break, or their buyers may have pulled out for various reasons. There are many reasons why our service is suitable for someone wanting to sell their home quickly.

My role is important to the company because I am the first point of contact for many people wanting to sell their homes, and I pride myself on giving good customer service, and offering people a suitable solution that works for everyone.

Why should customers want to deal with you (what makes you special)?

I think the thing that really sets me apart is my passion to find a solution for every customer. It stems from my want and experience on providing a good customer service, and as a company we pride ourselves on being able to offer a variety of property sale solutions with several different ways to sell your home, so I should be able to find the one that matches your requirements!

What’s your proudest moment in the job?

I have had many proud moments in my work life. My background before recently joining The Property Buying Company was working for a family business, which I worked at for over 15 years (I know I don't look old enough!). Throughout my work, I have always been looking for ways to improve my customer service and find out exactly what it is that my customers are wanting, and help deliver that as efficiently as possible.

I am very proud of the great reviews I have from my customers and the bonds I have made with my long-lasting customers over the years. It has always been very important to me to create a good relationship with my customers and build trust between us, so we can work better together. Ultimately it was time for me to pursue a career in a market I am passionate about and take on a new challenge.

What’s been your most challenging moment?

Despite it being the right thing to move from my family business, I would say this was my most challenging moment so far. Being very comfortable working with family, and knowing the business inside and out over a 15+ year period, it very much took me out of my comfort zone to move away, but ultimately you have to follow your gut and what feels right for your future and I'm confident I've made the right choice.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I love going to the cinema and watching films, walking my very energetic Golden Retriever at least twice a day! I live local to where I work and there are lovely walks around here, so I take advantage by walking to work as much as possible. I recently got married in Italy later and although my wife did most of the planning (since she is Italian), I like to think I contributed in some way!

What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

Honest, reliable & funny.
