What experience do you have in property?

I have worked in the property industry for around 6 years now. Originally starting in lettings, working for a corporate agent as a negotiator and eventually taking on additional responsibilities such as valuing and preparing particulars for marketing.

I then went on to join a franchise agent, entering a dual role dealing with both lettings and sales before moving on to a family run estate agents in which I solely dealt with sales and progressed there to senior sales negotiator, prior to joining The Property Buying Company. Alongside this I have just graduated with a master’s degree in law which has been a huge help in understanding the legal elements of property law and my communication with solicitors.


What’s your role at The Property Buying Company?

I am a Sales Progressor, that means if you agree to sell your property to us then it's up to me to make sure your property sale comes to a succesful and timely conclusion.


Why is your role important to the company?

Alongside my team, we are the final stage to any property sale and/or purchase, working to ensure that the agreed sale makes it through to completion, that sellers get their funds and that buyers get their property keys.

We assist solicitors during the conveyancing process to ensure that clients have additional support during what can be quite a confusing process and that the process runs as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.


What’s been your proudest moment at work?

It sounds very cheesy but each time a sale makes it to completion, and I receive a genuine thanks, it’s a great moment and makes any stresses worthwhile.


What’s been your most challenging moment?

Returning to work after the first Covid lockdown was a challenge. Having to navigate the government restrictions to ensure clients and staff safety during what was the start of a booming property market was quite stressful at times and put additional pressure on us to change processes such as offer verification, but it all fell into place eventually.


What are your hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy exploring nature on walks with our two dogs, socialising with friends and family, clay pigeon shooting when the weather is nice and keeping active (although I have slacked with the gym recently).


What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

Bubbly, positive and productive.
