I’m a well-travelled Londoner living in the north, so that might explain my slightly different accent when you get a call from a Leeds 0113 number! It also explains why I’m a massive Arsenal fan, and in general just love my football. I also have a 5-year-old, just to keep me on my toes at all times.
Obviously, as well, property is a big passion of mine, that goes without saying. I’ve been in the industry for a fair few years now and absolutely love it, I’m always learning and expanding my property knowledge on a daily basis.
What experience do you have in property?
I came from a more traditional property background, working in an estate agency prior to this role for three years, back then I started as a consultant but over the years managed to work myself up to Senior Office Manager. After which I landed the role at The Property Buying Company, where I’ve been for quite a while now.
What’s your role at The Property Buying Company?
I’m a Senior Property Consultant at The Property Buying Company, and if you fill an enquiry in on the website or call us, you might end up chatting to me! I like to think with my experience both here and in an estate agency previously I’ve gained a fair bit of property knowledge you can utilise! Also what really sets me apart from the rest is I’m positive and a good listener, selling your home is a huge deal, I know that & in order to find you the right solution, I really need to listen to what you’re looking to achieve.
What’s your proudest moment in the job?
There’s actually been so many! I think the best feeling in general is when you’re able to really help someone that isn’t particularly comfortable or confident of moving home & the process, and really making it simple for them – it’s really rewarding when the property has completed and you’ve managed to really make the process stress free for them.
What’s been your most challenging moment?
I’ve got to say, it was actually dealing with a customer who had a large portfolio of 14 properties. It’s not something I’ve had to do before, and it involved a lot of behind the scenes work to keep everything ticking, from regularly contacting the tenants to keeping the seller up to date with everything that was happening, not to mention getting 14 different surveys booked in at times the individual tenants were happy with.
That being said, we managed to make everything run smoothly and it’s all due to complete before the timeline the seller requested – touch wood!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
My hobbies mostly revolve around sports, football in particular, as mentioned I’m a big Arsenal fan & I also love regularly going to the gym at work.
But I’ve got to say, my biggest hobby (and most time-consuming!) would be playing with my son, I enjoy every minute of it.
