What experience do you have in property?

Until joining The Property Buying Company my only experience in the world of property was hours spent on Zoopla checking out houses I can never afford and the confusing process of purchasing my first home.

The lovely team here have already taught me so much about how the property industry works, with no question too stupid, and I can’t wait to become an expert through their advice and guidance.

What’s your role at The Property Buying Company?

I’m part of the marketing team as a Social Media Executive. I get to spend my day filling our channels with fun and creative content which offers advice, insight and breaks down the barriers between the public and the misunderstood property market.

Why is your role important to the company?

Buying or selling a home can feel like such a daunting process from the outside, but social media enables us to bring the world of property to people in a way that feels comfortable. Through social media we can showcase who we are, introduce our amazing team, share our values and life inside the business, as well as offering advice and support.

What’s been your proudest moment in the job?

It's a tricky one to answer, can I say I'm proud of everything? There's been quite a few fantastic projects that I've been lucky to be involved in throughout my career, so I can't just pick one!

What’s been your most challenging moment?

The most challenging transition in my career was the move from New Zealand to England, it was a complete fresh slate! I didn’t know anyone here and have worked in industries that don’t even exist at home, so it’s been a steep learning curve.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

When I do tear myself away from my phone, I can be found snuggling my sausage dogs, baking cupcakes, working in my garden or off on a camping adventure – anything to do with food or the outdoors and I’m pretty happy.

What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

Crazy dog mum – does that count?
