I’m Alexandra and I’m an apprentice junior content producer. I love films, books and tv. I'm new to the world of property, but I'm looking forward to learning and expanding my knowledge in the area. You might find some of my work in the news section or on some of our other websites.
What experience do you have in property?
Before I actually joined The Property Buying Company I had a very limited experience with property, but it's always been something that I've had a bit of an interest in. What I would say however is that since joining I am quickly learning about all aspects of the property market and about how it all works, article by article & it's great to be amongst such a knowledgeable team of property experts, so I'm sure over time I will become a bit of an expert!
What’s your role at The Property Buying Company?
I’m a member of the marketing team and my role within the team is as an Apprentice Junior Content Producer. What that means is that it's my role to research a variety of industry-related topics, conduct topical research and write blog posts that inform, educate and add value to our readers.
Why is your role important to the company?
Well, everyone's role in the marketing team is important in its own way, but my role is to support each of the different parts of the team with high-quality content, and help us as a company grow and cover more subjects online.
What’s your proudest moment in the job?
My proudest moment in the job has been when I published my first article on our property news website. I'm fairly new, and it was actually the first week, and in fact, the first piece of work that I'd finished, which I then got to publish. It was brilliant to see a piece that I had written up and live on the website for people to read.
What’s been your most challenging moment?
My most challenging moment has been getting to grips with the world of marketing, trying to learn about all the different aspects of marketing and how everything works. It was a real challenge to learn how to structure an article and the code side involved with publishing, as it's something I hadn't done before. I have also never worked in marketing before or in a big office like this, but with help from my colleagues, I'm sure I will enjoy it and learn quickly.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
When I am not at work I enjoy going to the cinema, especially to see any new horror films. If there isn't anything on at the cinema then you might catch me at the pub with my friends. Other than that I enjoy keeping fit and in particular cycling and zumba, I actually find it quite relaxing!
