Hello there! My name is Laura and I work at Progressions. After moving from Australia 10 years ago, I cheerfully settled in North Yorkshire. At The Property Buying Company you will typically chat to me during your sale.
What experience do you have in property?
I have been around the property business all my life – my mother is an exceptional agent. I learned how important it is to keep in touch with customers, to be friendly and to have an open mind from her. /p>
What’s your role at The Property Buying Company?
I am a Sales Progressor, and what that means is that when an offer has been accepted by a client it's my role to take on the task of bringing that sale to a successful conclusion.
Why is your role important to the company?
Sales progressors reduce the time it takes between offer and exchange by compiling all relevant sales, acting as both a point contact for parties involved in the sale, such as client, solicitor, other estate agents, ect. We are the people who chase all the details to get the job done! Essentially, a significant part of the reason that we are able to buy property so quickly!
When there is no designated sales progressor in place, things may get left to the last minute… and the extended period of time can often open the door for the Buyer or Seller to withdraw.
Having one person oversee the entire process also lessens the chances of crossed wires, which are another common cause of delays when dealing with property transactions. We progressors will handle any hiccups that may occur and will do our best to identify and resolve any issues.
What’s been your proudest moment at work?
I'm relatively new to this role. I think my most successful accomplishment to date, beyond landing this wonderful and exciting role, has been working with the Progressions team to put new systems in place that have made everything a bit more efficient.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I am a giant nerd! When not at work you will most likely find me nose in book or at Comic-Con.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Organised, Friendly, Positive.
